The High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania to the Republic of Namibia is pleased to welcome the State Visit of Her Excellency Dr. Netumbo Nandi -Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia, to the United Republic of Tanzania from 19 to 22 June 2026.

Her Excellency President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah arrived in Dar es Salaam on 19 June 2026 and was warmly received at the Presidential Pavilion of Julius Nyerere International Airport by Hon. Ambassador Mahmoud Thabit Kombo (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation. Upon her arrival, Her excellency was accorded ceremonial honours, including a Silent Guard of Honour, and a cultural performance that showcased Tanzania's hospitality and the longstanding friendship between the two sister nations.

As part of State Visit, Her excellency President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndwaitwah is scheduled to hold high-level bilateral engagements with Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania. The Programme includes an official welcoming ceremony at State House, a tête-á-tête between the two Heads of State, official bilateral talks, the witnessing of the signing of Memoranda of Understanding, a joint press briefing, and a State Luncheon hosted in honour of the President of Namibia.

The visit also encompasses engagements of historical significance, including a visit to Her Excellency President Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah's former residence at Magomeni Mikumi and a tour of the Namibian Liberation Fighters Camp in Kongwa District. This programme highlights the deep-rooted historical ties and shared liberation heritage that continue to underpin relations between Tanzania and Namibia.

The State Visit further demonstrates the enduring bonds of solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Namibia and is expected to deepen collaboration in areas such as trade and investment, economic development, tourism, education, culture, and people-to-people relations.
