A three-member delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation of the United Republic of Tanzania consisting of Amb. Mindi Kasiga, Head of Government Communication Unit and Ms. Prisca Mwanjesa, Personal Assistant to the Permanent Secretary, accompanied by Ms. Upendo Mwasha Head of Chancery at the United Republic of Tanzania High Commission in Namibia is on a three-day benchmarking visit on Public Diplomacy at the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO) from 02 - 04 October 2024.
Welcoming the delegation Ms . Bertha Amakali, Director of Information and Research & IT Sub-division, expressed appreciation from Tanzania for choosing Namibia as a learning point noting that the purpose of the benchmarking visit is to learn best practices on public diplomacy and communication strategies.
Ms. Amakali is leading a team of officials from the Directorate and other Departments, Directorates and Divisions in the Ministry who will share information and best practices with the visiting officials from Tanzania.
This is the second benchmarking exercise that MIRCO is hosting, having had conducted one with the Republic of Zimbabwe.
